1. Prepaid engagements
Audits, research sprints and retainers are normally prepaid. What is included, and the milestones against which it is delivered, are set out in your proposal. [CA: confirm advance-receipt treatment and invoicing sequence.]
2. Cancelling recurring work
A retainer may be paused or cancelled on the notice period stated in your contract. Work already delivered, and work in progress at the point of notice, remains chargeable. Where a milestone is part-complete we invoice the proportion delivered, evidenced by the working files handed over.
3. Refunds
If we cannot deliver a contracted milestone, the unused prepaid portion for that milestone is refunded. We do not refund on the basis that a research or sourcing engagement did not produce a commercial outcome, because no outcome is promised — that limit is stated before you buy, not after. 4. Third-party costs
Certification, testing, inspection, sampling and logistics costs committed with your approval are non-refundable once the third party has been instructed.
